Young Dolph explained why he turned down a record deal worth $22 million.

"My focus was never Young Dolph," he told the Hot 97 hosts. "My focus was Paper Route. When you're new you gotta prove yourself and all that shit. Me, I ain't have to prove myself is how I felt ... I knew I was going to get myself hot. Like I 100 percent knew it."

Dolph then explained how he knew he was going to make it without the help of a record label.

"I'm not scared, bruh and I love the hustle," he said. "I love the adrenaline."

Despite Dolph turning down that huge deal, he still seems to be doing financially well since he recently bought one of his friends a Mercedes for his birthday.

Dolph also got into it with DJ Vlad over the $22 million deal, after the website owner spoke to Boosie Badazz about it and Boosie said he was confused why the deal was turned down.

Do you believe Dolph really turned down that big of a deal?
