Long time music industry executive Lyor Cohen has his detractors.

Waka Flocka recently accused him of stealing the soul of youth, and Offset, Lupe Fiasco and Jadakiss have all blasted his tactics.

Cohen appeared to have a rocky relationship with Young Thug when Cohen was running 300. (Lyor has since moved on to YouTube, where he's the global head of music.)

But now it appears Thug has nothing but praise for his "second dad."

Here's what Cohen said about Thug last September, right before he left 300 for YouTube.

I think Young Thug is developing beautifully, and could be shifting things. It’s another branch of rap music.

It would seem that Cohen had a big hand in that.
