In May of 2021, 50 Cent said that he moved to Houston, Texas.
He was then seen immersing himself in the local culture while sporting a cowboy hat.
It's clear that 50 has a soft spot for Texans. That was evident after he gifted a local high school student $48,000 in scholarship money through his G-Star program.
Kennedy Nelms is the student's name, and she's a senior at Houston's Kashmere High School. She'll be using the scholarship money to attend the University of Texas at Austin.
"My G Stars are no joke," wrote 50 on Instagram. "Kennedy from Kashmere HS was just awarded a four year scholarship to the University of Texas! I’m So proud of these kids. H TOWN you know the vibes she gonna get to the bread."
Good job, Fif.
