We've been following the latest legal game of cat and mouse between 50 Cent and Rick Ross.
To update what's been going on: 50 is suing his former lawyers Reed Smith for malpractice related to his notorious $7 million lawsuit loss to Ross's baby mama Lavonia Leviston, who had sued Fif over leaking her sex tape. Fif wants $32 million.
An important part of 50's case against the law firm is his allegation that they made a pre-trial agreement with Leviston's lawyers that would preclude Ross from testifying.
He needs to track down Ross to confirm that's what went happens. But Ross, who loathes helping 50 out, has been purposely avoiding Fif's subpoena for the past year, jeopardizing Fif's case.
A judge has just granted 50 more time to track Ross down
"The discovery deadline is extended through March 31, 2020, solely to allow the plaintiff to conduct the deposition of Rick Ross," Judge Ann M. Nevins ruled.
She added that she shares Reed Smiths' frustration with 50 legal teams' inability to find Ross -- a large and high profile man -- but believes that his testimony is essential to the case so she's giving them one last chance.
