50 Cent really did file a lawsuit against the Hip Hop publication HipHopDX for using a photo without his permission. But what he's really mad about is a story HipHopDX ran in which they reported a Bellator spokesman had denied 50's claim that he sold the phrase "Get The Strap " to the MMA company for $1 million.
The image Fif's talking about shows himself posing with executives from Bellator According to TMZ -- who's seen the lawsuit -- the pic was taken on June 25 by Christopher Conrad, who gave 50 permission to use it three days later. But in court documents, the G-Unit leader said HipHopDX had no legal right to post the photo but did so anyway.
"This shit is fake news Justin Ivey," wrote Fif, as he named the writer. "You better go fact check. Matter of fact, I'm gonna sue you and this website for using my picture."
Given 50 likes to use all sorts of images on Instagram, he may want to think about that lawsuit.
