After Girl "Choking" Incident, There's a Petition for Chris Brown To Be Dropped From Label

A lot of folks want Chris Brown's label CBE to be dropped from Interscope Records after he was seen grabbing a woman by the neck in a recent photo.

A petition on the website Care2 says CBE should be removed from its parent label because Chris is a danger to women. Brown has said he and the girl were just playing around in the photo, and the unnamed woman has confirmed that they are good friends and it wasn't a violent incident.

"Brown is a dangerous man with a history of domestic violence and should not be joking about harassing women," read the petition, which was addressed to Interscope CEO John Janick. "In 2009, he brutally assaulted Rihanna and then never went to jail after he got away with a plea deal— sending a horrible message to young men and abuse survivors."

The organizers of the petition want 18,000 signatures, and right now they have over 17,000 so the goal will definitely be reached soon. 

The petition also used a quote from Hollywood Life, who claimed to have spoken to a Rihanna source who said she's pissed at Brown for putting his hands on the women.

"It's just a bad look, period," the document read. "After everything they went through, she's disappointed that he'd even play around like that."
