Akon is entering the cryptocurrency world.

The singer and rapper has launched his new cryptocurrency called Akon, and the new coin is set to help entrepreneurs, business owners, and social activists.

According to akoin.io...

“Akoin is a cryptocurrency, powered by a marketplace of tools and services to fuel the dreams of entrepreneurs, business owners, and social activists.

Akoin helps them connect and engage across the rising economies of Africa and beyond; created by visionary global artist, change-maker, innovator, and humanitarian, Akon.

Africa has over 40+ currencies across 54 countries, each struggling with a level of inflation and instability that makes growing business within the continent and internationally extremely difficult while also creating massive roadblocks for entrepreneurs who want to learn, earn, spend and save.

Through Akoin, one currency powers a digital suite of business building tools and services to unite the people of Africa, and connect them with a world ready to fuel entrepreneurial dreams; including unparalleled access for global brands seeking access to the next largest untapped and unrivaled rising economy.”

As of now,  Akoin is accepted where ever Mastercard is taken as a payment option, and can be traded on Bitmart

This is only one of Akon's many business ventures, as he is building another city in Senegal called "Akon City."
