Knicks fans rejoice. Amar'e Stoudemire is trying everything to get his body ready for the 2014-2015 NBA season. He even posted an Instagram photo with him soaking his tired bones in giant tub of  red wine.

Why?

"The red wine bath is very important to me because it allows me to create more circulation in my red blood cells," the 31-year old explains to ESPN.

Yeah, that sounds like some crackpot stuff; a recovery regiment based on color schemes. But, actually, there is something to it:

"Grape polyphenols fight against free radicals, which cause 80 percent of skin aging. ... In addition to their exceptional antioxidant power, polyphenols reinforce microcirculation, protect elastin and collagen fibers and prevent the destruction of the fundamental elements of the skin's support tissue," is how the Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa explains their red wine treatment.

The treatment is not 100 percent wine. There is some water in there, and also the salty sweat Amar'e works up dragging Andrea Bargnani around all day in practice. Perhaps that is why Amar'e says he has never tasted the wine concoction.

The wine treatment will run you around $65 bucks for 20 minutes at your local spa.

If you want to try at it home -- and don't make 19 million a year like Amar'e does -- we suggest box wine.
