Did Amine Get Tricked Into XXL Cover Shoot?

Portland rapper Amine was one of the ten rising stars named to XXL annual Freshman Class list.

While he appreciated the honor, he was miffed and confused about the cover.

“XXL I am very happy, I'm honored actually, but I'm disappointed. Like, y’all wasn't finna tell me that we did a whole ass photo shoot. When, when did this happen? So XXL I'ma have my people call your people."

It sounds like Amine didn't realize that the cover shoot was a cover shoot.

If he had, maybe he would have gotten together with Playboi Carti and worked on having different looks.
