AR-AB and 8 Of His People Indicted On Federal Drug Charges

AR-AB and eight other people were indicted on federal drug charges.

They were charged with conspiracy to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine, 280 grams or more of crack, 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 100 grams or more of heroin. 

There were also separate charges for some of the individuals arrested, including possession with intent to distribute cocaine, crack, heroin and methamphetamine. One person was also hit with an illegal gun charge.

The Feds said AB is the leader of the drug gang and everyone arrested with him are members. They say the rapper and his crew brought drugs from California and distributed them throughout Philly, AB's hometown. The charges came down after two search warrants were executed on Sept. 11, 2017 and May 17, 2018.

“The charges alleged in the superseding indictment are extremely serious and if convicted these defendants are facing major jail time,” said U.S. Attorney McSwain in a statement.  “The investigation and prosecution of drug trafficking organizations remains a high priority of this Office and the Department of Justice.  We are committed to doing everything we can to keep our streets safe and stop the flow of these deadly drugs into our communities.”

AR-AB is probably most famous in the mainstream rap world for supporting Drake during his beef with AR-AB's fellow Philly native Meek Mill. That sparked rumors he was signing with OVO but that never happened.
