Cultural critic Boosie Badazz has weighed in on the differing perceptions of light-skinned and dark-skinned black people during his latest Vlad TV interview.

"That sht don't really bother me because I'm from Louisana I been around the racist sht. 'The blacker the nigg** the lighter the tree.' You pull over a  well-dressed light-skinned guy, they are going to listen to what he say. You pull over a dark-skin male with regular clothes, they tougher on you," he said, after Vlad asked him what he though about inevitably being treated worse because he has dark skin.

"I think the blacker the skin the more fear we bring in people," he continued.  That's just a part of life. Even talking about our race. That's how the world is. The lighter the skin, sometimes dudes look at you weaker, that's why a lot of light skin dudes be proving they selves."

He added that he thinks these days black people of all shades are looking more similar so they may be getting treated more similarly.

What do you think of Boosie's words on this sensitive topic?
