Two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Valasquez was arrested for attempted murder Monday after police say he shot a man at a Salinas, California high school parking lot.
Police say Valasquez opened fire on a car with three men in it. One of the men, Harry Eugene Goularte, had recently been arraigned for "a lewd and lascivious act with a child under the age of 14." The 43-year old was allowed to be bailed out over the objections of the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office.
Goularte is specifically accused of molesting one of Valasquez's minor relatives "100 times."
However, Valasquez didn't hit Goularte when he opened fire on the car. Instead, he struck Goularte's stepfather, who is expected to survive.
Given the circumstances, the UFC community have started a "Free Cain" movement.

I don’t want to live in a country where you can’t shoot someone who sexually abused your child. #FreeCain

They would probably have a better argument if he hit the right guy.
