Cardi B Fires Back After It's Suggested Nicki Minaj is Dictating Her Album Release

Cardi B has gone to great lengths to deny there are any issues between her and her fellow NYC femcee Nicki Minaj.

“I feel like people wouldn’t even be satisfied even if me and her [Nicki] was making out on a freaking photo or if I was with any other female artist," Cardi said last year. "I feel like people just want that drama because it’s just entertaining.”

Beef or no beef, folks are going to compare the two because of their NYC roots, their aggressive personalities and their aggressive approaches to plastic surgery.

As such, some are speculating that Cardi B is holding her debut album back until Nicki's mysterious follow up to 2014's The Pinkprint finally drops.

Cardi pushed back hard on that one during an Instagram exchange.

#CardiB took to our Instagram account to set the record straight to people who say she's waiting for #NickiMinaj to drop her album first before releasing hers: "What is that going to do for me?"
