Cash Money Is Getting Sued Over Drake's Profits

Cash Money has more than just Lil Wayne's lawsuit to worry about.

The New York Post reports Aspire Music has filed a lawsuit in the Manhattan Supreme Court demanding 1/3 of Cash Money's substantial Drake profits.

Drake signed an exclusive recording deal with Florida-based Aspire Music in 2008, the Manhattan Supreme Court suit says. A year later, Aspire entered into a second agreement with Cash Money to receive one-third of profits from Drake’s licensing and songwriting sales. But Cash Money has been stiffing Aspire on its share — and refusing to provide a full accounting, the suit says.
It this sounds familiar, it is.

Earlier this year, Jas Prince settled a long running lawsuit with Cash Money over 22 percent of Drake's royalties. Prince was supposed to get the money from Aspire, but Aspire argued that they were never paid by Cash Money -- so they didn't have the money to pay Prince.

Now it looks like Aspire is going to court to try to get that money.

Good luck.
