Label independence is a big part of Chance The Rapper's shtick.

He addresses it in his track 'No Problem.'

If one more label try to stop me It's gon' be some dreadhead niggas in ya lobby, huh huh
He took that a step further in San Diego during the opening night of his Be Encouraged Tour.

Chance flashed the names of the labels who have presumably been trying to stop him -- but didn't prevent him from getting three Grammys -- on the screen as he did 'No Problem.'

As you can see, Motown was lampooned as No Crown, Def Jam Recordings became Don't Join Recordings and Aftermath Entertainment became Can’t Do Math Entertainment.

Chance also had mean names for Sony (Phony), Atlantic (Titanic), Virgin (Villain), Warner Music Group (Wiener Music Group), Epic (Edick) and Universal (Undiverse).

Is Chance playing with fire by naming names?
