Chris Brown will be one of the youngest artists to ever own his masters.
The 29-year-old just re-upped his record deal with RCA, which has granted him full rights to his recordings. It's unclear if that's going forward, or it includes the five previous albums he released on RCA. (It's most likely just going forward.)
“This new deal structure between Brown and RCA Records, will undoubtedly enhance the release of new Chris Brown music, content, and much more throughout 2019 and beyond,” reads a statement from RCA.
Taylor Swift, who's also 29, recently signed a deal which gave her all of her masters going forward.
Brown is expected to drop the first album on the new deal, Indigo, shortly.
