Dak Prescott Says NFL Games Are No Place For Protests

Dallas Cowboy quarterback Dak Prescott was asked about the National Anthem protests in the NFL, and he said they weren't right.

“I don’t think that’s the time or the venue to do so," he said. "The game of football has always brought me such a peace, and I think it does the same for a lot of other people, people playing the game, people watching the game and any people that have an impact on the game. So when you bring such a controversy to the stadium, to the field, to the game, it takes away. It takes away from the joy and the love that football brings a lot of people.”

"I do exactly what I’m doing and what I stand by whether I was wearing the star or not, whether I was playing for Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones or any other owner," added Prescott. "I believe in what I believe in and that’s that."

Just days ago, the Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones said all of his players will have to stand for the anthem, and he wouldn't allow anyone to stay in the lockergroom, which the NFL now allows.

"Our policy is that you stand at the anthem, toe on the line," he stated.

What do you think about Prescott's comments? So far he's taken a beating on social media, including this shot from Raiders Linebacker Tahir Whitehead.

But not like the beating he took years ago when he was still playing for Mississippi State.
