Demi Lovato got skewered after she sent a tweet about 21 Savage being arrested by ICE.
The rapper was busted in Atlanta on Sunday and could be deported. It was learned that he's actually from the UK and has overstayed his visa. After news about the arrest surfaced, all kinds of memes hit the Internet, which Lovato apparently found entertaining.
"The 21 Savage memes have been my favorite part of the Super Bowl," she wrote.
Rappers like Talib Kweli, Offset and Wale then came for Lovato.
"Why is somebody freedom funny? I don’t get the joke,"tweeted Wale. "A lot of people were sending you love light , prayers etc when people were making jokes about u at a rough time. A lot of people. Bless up."
The pop singer then went on her Instagram Story to explain and said she didn't mean any harm.
"Wasn't laughing at anyone getting deported," she said. "I know that's not a joke, nor have I ever laughed at that. The meme I posted / was talking about was of him writing with a feather pen. Sorry if I offended anyone. But it's no excuse to laugh at someone's addiction let alone their OD."
Do you think what Lovato tweeted was wrong?
