On Friday morning, we learned that one of the three suicide notes football-star-turned-murder Aaron Hernandez left was for another male inmate believed to be his gay lover.
Later that day came another bombshell: Investigators looking into Hernandez's 2015 murder of Odin L. Lloyd suspected that Hernandez was bisexual and may have killed Lloyd (who was dating his fiancee's sister) because he had discovered his secret.
Now the Daily Mail -- which broke the story that Hernandez had a prison lover -- has revealed the 22 year old.
He's Kyle Kennedy, who's serving time for armed robbery and has previous convictions for heroin trafficking and heroin possession.
In addition to the letter, Hernandez reportedly gave Kennedy a $50,000 watch (through Kennedy's family) and other gifts. Kennedy is said to be the last person who saw Hernandez alive.
In his online profile on the website Write A Prisoner, Kennedy listed his sexual orientation as "straight''
Kennedy was placed on suicide watch following Hernandez's death.
He could be released from prison as early as March of 2018.
Update: Aaron Hernandez's lawyer denies one of the three prison letters Hernandez left was for a gay lover. He didn't address the Newsweek report that investigators in the Odin L. Lloyd murder believed Hernandez was bisexual.
