Last week, we learned that up and coming Baton Rouge rapper NBA YoungBoy (Kentrell Gaulden) had been been charged with attempted first degree murder, and was being held on a $200,000 bond at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Now we have the details of the alleged crime

According to WALB 10, the 17-year-old is accused of firing a gun multiple times during a drive-by shooting on November 2, 2016 in Baton Rouge. YoungBoy, who also goes by YoungBoy Never Broke Again, was a passenger in the car. One of car's other two passengers was shot in the neck during the incident.

The car got a flat and crashed as they fled the scene of the crime, with the four escaping on foot. The injured passenger made his way to the hospital, where he was arrested. The car's driver was quickly nabbed on a first degree attempted murder charge, but YoungBoy was nowhere to found.

He was eventually arrested by US Marshals after a show in Austin, Texas during the Thanksgiving holiday, and extradited back to Louisiana.

Investigators believe the shooting was in retaliation for the shooting death of 18-year-old Keondrae Ricks.

YoungBoy has yet to make bail.
