Suge Knight associate Mob James has confirmed the story that Puff Daddy escalated the Bad Boy-Death Row beef by offering Southside Crips 10K bounties on Death Row chains.

In an interview with Vlad TV, James explained the cold calculation behind the decision to do so.

"Suge knew what he was doing. Puffy knew what he was doing. And now you got two gangs fighting each other. And they sitting back letting it happen. And they getting paid at the same time."

However, James said Suge messed up when he allowed 2Pac to get into it with Southside Crip Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson during the notorious Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Grand. Most folks in the know think Anderson was the man who gunned Pac down later that night.

"2Pac don't know no Southside Crips. That's one of my problems with Suge. This dude is an artist. This is a man who's worth millions to you. And you let him go over and fight gangbangers. A man he knew jack s*** about. This is how he got killed. Because, man, you running into a hitter."
