Platinum Producer DJ Official Shot & Killed In South L.A.

The bad news just keeps coming for Los Angeles based hip-hop artists and producers.

Andre Wakefield Jr., a.k.a. DJ Official, was a Grammy-winning, platinum music producer, but unfortunately, he was gunned down earlier this week in South L.A.

Wakefield has worked with the likes of Cardi B, Rich The Kid, YG, Tyga, OT Genasis, Chris Brown and more. He was also affiliated with Mustard and Ella Mai's brand, 10 Summers. 

According to the L.A. Times, 

Wakefield was sitting in his car with a friend in the 1900 block of West 78th Street at about 4 p.m. when police said a light-colored sedan drove by and a person inside shot at them. Both men were wounded — Wakefield fatally. The other man is expected to survive.

As of now, Police have no suspects. 

Just a few months back, Wakefield showed his disbelief for Nipsey Hussle's untimely death on Instagram, and now Mustard and others had to do the same.
