On Thursday we shared a post from DJ Scratch about Craig Mack's memorial service that took place earlier this week in Hempstead, Long Island. According to Scratch, he was the only celebrity there, and no rappers or any of his industry friends showed up, aside from a few associates.
Now the New York DJ has shared some details about Mack's funeral, which took place in South Carolina, and he said Diddy wasn't even aware of it. He also said Diddy offered to pay for the funeral, but the religious community Mack was a part of wouldn't allow it. Mack was the first artist Diddy signed to his Bad Boy Record label in the '90s.
The leader of the church (some would say cult) that Mack belonged to, Brother Ralph Gordon Stair, has been accused of molesting girls and raping women on the group's compound. He was arrested on two counts of rape in 2002 and plead to lesser charges. In December, the 84-year-old was arrested on charges of assault with intent to commit first-degree criminal sexual conduct, third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, kidnapping, first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary and three counts of criminal sexual conduct
He's currently out on bail
