Trump Team Pissed That A$AP Rocky Never Said Thank You

Donald Trump tried to use Twitter diplomacy to free A$AP Rocky when he was locked up and awaiting trial in Sweden for a street fight.

It didn't work, but the President's effort was out there for all to see.

There were two factions that brought Rocky's case to the President attention. Everyone knows about his son-in-law Jared Kushner, who was in communication with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West about the case.  

In addition, Darrell Scott and Kareem Lanier, two of the main figures in Trump's African American outreach efforts, were also working with the White House and Rocky's team on the rapper's precarious situation.

According to Scott and Lanier, they felt disrespected and unappreciated by Rocky's team during their process.  Feelings that were just compounded when Rocky never thanked them or the White House for their efforts in trying to free him.

“One of the problems that we have as a culture — and I’m talking about black Americans — is herd mentality. Right now it’s popular for those guys to bash President Trump," Lanier told Yahoo!

“All he had to do was do a two-minute call to say thank you,” Scott added. “Rocky hasn’t even called us and said, ‘Hey, man, thank you guys. I appreciate it,’ in private. Just in private.”

Should Rocky -- who ended up being found guilty and was sentenced to time served -- have thanked the Trump team?
