Dr. Dre Made The Most Money Of Any Musician This Decade

The folks at Forbes are always tallying up which celebrity made the most in a given year.

They're doing the same thing for the decade. When it comes to musicians, Dr. Dre is sitting on top.

The good doctor took in $950 million, much of it from his legendary mid-decade Beats Audio deal with Apple. A few other Hip Hop figures made the top ten, including the husband and wife team of JAY-Z and Beyonce.  Here's the list:

10. Lady Gaga, $500 million
9. Katy Perry, $530 million
8. Paul McCartney, $535 million
7. JAY-Z, $560 million
6. Elton John, $565 million
5. Diddy, $605 million
4. U2, $675 million
3. Beyoncé, $685 million
2. Taylor Swift, $825 million
1. Dr. Dre, $950 million

Forbes didn't rank dead musicians. If they had, the 2.4 billion Michael Jackson's estate pulled in this decade would have topped the list.
