Dr. Dre has won six Grammys, three as a rapper and three as a producer.
Today, The Grammys announced that the Recording Academy's Producers & Engineers Wing will pay tribute to the Dre on Jan. 22 at Village Studios in Los Angeles with a special award. The ceremony will take place four days before the Grammys.
Dre is known for his production work with or Eminem, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Eve, Jay-Z, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, The Game, Mary J. Blige and Gwen Stefani.
In 2016, he was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame as a member of NWA.
