Earlier this week, DJ Akademiks reported that Drake will be responding to Pusha T on his Scorpion album.
"I hear there is a response to Pusha T coming on this album. From what I heard, everything J. Prince is saying. Apparently, he heard the record and he told Drake 'You gotta tone this down, it's way too vulgar.' From what I hear, the record was changed and rerecorded. But there were a lot of parts and references still kept in there. It's definitely not as disrespectful. But I hear it's coming on Scorpion," Ak said.
Drake reached out to Ak after he reported that and clarified some things.
Drizzy told the media personality that there won't be a toned down version of the diss track that he and J. Prince decided not to drop on Scorpion.
But he did say he will address the situation:
"He said, ‘For you as an outsider to this situation, you won’t get it and fans won’t get it.’ But he said at times the shit goes beyond just music. He says that if this continued and it kept on being escalated, and I believe he’s talking about if he dropped his [Pusha T response] track, he says it would go to a point of no return and it would have taken him to a very dark place. … He said it will all make sense and it doesn't make sense to you right now because I’ve said to him, ‘You might have your reasons but you have to understand we’re going to be disappointed’. Because publicly none of that matters. He said, June 29. There is music there. There are answers on his album to make us understand. He said you will understand when the project comes out."
Do you think Drake can dig himself out of his Pusha T hole on Scorpion?
