Drake Now Has More Hot 100 Hits Than the Beatles, Third Most In Hip Hop History

iLoveMakonnen's single "Tuesday" isn't exactly tearing up the charts. But when it hit 90 on the Billboard 100 this week it was still big milestone for Drake, a featured artist on the track.

It was the 72nd Hot 100 placement for the Canadian rapper, breaking a tie with the Beatles and moving him alone into eighth place all-time.

The artists in front of him, from first to seventh, are the cast of Glee, Lil Wayne, Elvis, James Brown, Jay Z, Ray Charles, and Aretha Franklin.

Drake still has a while to go to catch Lil Wayne, Hip Hop's Hot 100 king with 120 placements. Jay-z sits second in rap history with 82 placements.  Given Drake's age advantage he should eventually pass the Jigga Man.

As for the number one spot overall, the cast of Glee has a whooping 207 placements. That might be bridge too far for Drizzy or anybody in the rap game, especially since the show is still on the air.

But back to the Beatles for a moment. The music legends have 37 number ones to Drake's seven, and  when they were charting you couldn't rack up placements by being featured on other artists' hits. Although we're sure a John Lennon guest verse would have been killer.
