Drake is old enough to remember what a big deal Ma$e used to be.
And the Harlem spitters late 90s dominance made an impression on Drake's brain, which he displayed in a social media post.
As you can see, Drake is wearing clothes many sizes too big for him, including a jersey with Ma$e's name.
Drake and Ma$e are actually old buddies. Ma$e did the OVO festival in 2013, and there was even talk that he would sign with OVO for a comeback.
“Funny enough, me and Ma$e have just been talking about what the future holds, what he wants to do,” Drake said in an interview with MTV back then. “Anything is possible, man. I told Ma$e, ‘You’re Ma$e at the end of the day, so I don’t think you should end up on anybody else’s label.’ I would love to be involved [with Ma$e’s work]. Just like I know Kanye [West] takes an interest in Ma$e as well because Ma$e is the original fly guy that made it all look extremely fun.”
Ma$e and Drake have also both clashed with Diddy in the past. Although it seems like these days Drake and Puff are good, whereas Ma$e is getting madder and madder at his former boss.
