Not surprisingly, Drake appears to agres with those who've said Lil Wayne should perform the halftime show at Super Bowl LIX instead of Kendrick Lamar since the game is being held in Wayne's hometown of New Orleans.
But Drake didn't use words to relay his point; he posted some throwback photos of Wayne on Instagram Stories.
Some of the people who've criticized Jay-Z and Roc Nation for not choosing Wayne to perform include Nicki Minaj, Boosie Badazz, DJ Akademiks, radio host Big Boy, and Birdman.
But people like Fabolous and Funkmaster Flex came to Jay's defense.
WE GOTTA STOP BLAMING JAYZ FOR EVERYTHING… THE NFL HAS NEVER CARED ABOUT PEOPLE OF COLOR. (BEFORE JAYZ) (BEFORE COLLIN) THE NFL HAS ACCOMPLISHED TURNING US AGAINST EACH OTHER! THIS WOULDNT OF HAPPENED IN TAYLOR SWIFT’S HOME TOWN! LIL WAYNE LEGACY ALREADY WRITTEN IN STONE!

"WE GOTTA STOP BLAMING JAYZ FOR EVERYTHING," tweeted Flex. "THE NFL HAS NEVER CARED ABOUT PEOPLE OF COLOR. (BEFORE JAYZ) (BEFORE COLLIN) THE NFL HAS ACCOMPLISHED TURNING US AGAINST EACH OTHER! THIS WOULDNT OF HAPPENED IN TAYLOR SWIFT’S HOME TOWN! LIL WAYNE LEGACY ALREADY WRITTEN IN STONE!"
As for Drake's post, his desire for Lil Wayne to play the Super Bowl is two-fold.
One, Weezy signed and mentored him and two, Drake probably doesn't want his archnemesis Kendrick to perform "Not Like Us" on the world's biggest stage.
