Drake Tells Court It's Not His Fault Detail Got Beat Down By His Bodyguard

Earlier this year, producer Detail sued Drake for having his bodyguard Chubbs beat him down.

According to Detail, Drizzy was salty that Detail wouldn't agree to continue on as his exclusive producer after they worked together on Nothing Was The Same. So he ordered his goon to beat Detail down when he arrived at Drake's Calabasas estate on a night in 2014.

“I will beat all your asses, including your bitches. I don’t give a fuck. I will hit you again. Do you think Drake is soft? You think Drake’s a punk?” Chubbs allegedly yelled as he broke Detail's jaw.

Drake has now responded to the lawsuit, claiming in court papers that Detail "assumed the risk of injury by showing up to the home because he had knowledge of the danger he was exposing himself to."

He also argues that Chubbs was acting in self-defense, and ultimately used restraint.

Drake is demanding the case be tossed, and Detail pay his legal fees.
