Eminem touched on his beef with Machine Gun Kelly in a new interview.
"You know, you go down the wormhole of YouTube and whatever, right?" Em began. "So I see 'Machine Gun Kelly talks about Eminem's daughter' or whatever, right? So I'm like 'What the fuck?' I clicked on it. Then he starts doing a press run, basically about Hailie. I'm like, 'What the fuck? Yo, my man better chill.' So that's not why I dissed him. The reason I dissed him is actually a lot more petty than that. Now I'm in this fuckin' weird thing, because I'm like, 'I've got to answer this motherfucker.'"
After that, the clip ends. But it's clear the rest of Em's answer will be in part 2 of the interview. His thoughts on Joe Budden dissing him be in the second part as well.
It's been nine days since MGK dissed the Kamikaze spitter on "Rap Devil," and there's still been no reply. D12's Bizarre will probably beat Em to the punch and respond to MGK first.
In part one of the Interview, Shady also addressed why he surprise dropped Kamikaze.
“I feel like the way the climate is right now, if you give people enough time to say, ‘Man, he better have a song like this or I ain’t fuckin’ with it, or if he don’t have a song like this, I ain’t fuckin’ with it. He better not be rapping like this. He better not be rapping about this or I’m not going to fuck with it,'” he explained
“When you go into an album, you can go into anything with the mindset of, ‘This is gonna suck.’ I feel like giving them no warning was the best thing to do … When the Revival tracklist came down the pipe, it was like overwhelmingly, ‘This shit is going to be trash.’ Nobody really wanted to be wrong about it. I’m not saying everybody, but a lot of people had already formed their opinion.”
