Eminem Thought He Got Froze Out By Michael Jordan After He Talked Trash

Michael Jordan is legendarily competitive.  Eminem thought he might have learned that the hard way when he made a joke about dunking on the GOAT during a conversation about a project they were going to do together. 

He explained what went down with Sway. [Go to 3:30] 

"I talked with him on the phone one time. We were talking about doing some kind of shoot together. I was on the phone with him and we were talking, and everything was cool and he’s super cool and everything was good until we got the end of the phone call, and I said, ‘Yo, man, when are you gonna come to Detroit so I can dunk on you?’ And it was crickets. And I don’t remember exactly what he said but I think he kind of like laughed and I remember getting off the phone going, ‘Oh my God, I think I might have just blew it," Eminem remembered.

“Because to me in my head, it was a total joke, right? It’s so ridiculous for me to think I could dunk on Jordan, right? So in my head, it’s one of those things that you think is gonna be funnier in your head than when you actually say it. So I don’t know what happened after that ... It was one of those things in my head that was so ridiculous, he has to know I’m joking. But when I got off the phone I remember thinking, ‘I don’t think he knew I was joking.' Watching this documentary, he's very competitive."

While Shady thought the MJ was going to stop talking to him after his faux pas, they continued to do business together.
