Eminem went with nostalgia for his first single off his upcoming The Death of Slim Shady album, and it looks like it worked big time.
"Houdini" is a call back to his hit "Without Me," which went number 2 in 2002, and samples the Steve Miller hit "Abracadabra," which went number 1 in 1982.
"Houdini" is trending to open in the top three on the Hot 100 next week after posting one of the biggest days ever for a rap track on Spotify. It's also picking up steam, so there is a chance it could challenge the three-week hold the Post Malone/Morgan Wallen track "I Had Some Help" has had on number one.
Eminems 'Houdini' reaches a new peak of 8.5m daily streams on Spotify, one of the biggest streaming days EVER for a rap song 🔥🏆
