Eminem's Sister-In-Law Dies Of Heroin Overdose

Tragedy has stuck the Mathers' family.

Eminem’s former sister-in-law, Dawn Scott, died on Tuesday following a heroin overdose.

Dawn was the twin to Shady's ex-wife Kim, and aunt to his daughters Alaina and Hailie-Jade. She was also the biological mother of Em's adopted daughter Whitney.

Dawn, along with Kim, lived with Marshall Mathers and his mother as teenagers after they ran away from home.

Em ended up marrying Kim twice. First, between 1999-2001, and then again for four months in 2006.

In a recent interview with Radar Online, Dawn admitted to her drug problem, and said that Eminem and her sister had stopped helping her.

"I have a millionaire brother-in-law and a sister with money up the ass," she told the gossip rag. It’s a betrayal. He’s been part of our family since he was 15!”

Kim Mathers issued this statement on her twin's passing.

"Dawn was my sweet, beautiful sister who lost her way," Kim’s message read. "I kept a light lit for her hoping she'd find her way back to me. I miss her and love her more than anything I could ever say. I wish she was here so I could hug her and tell her I love her." "Half of me is gone and I will never feel whole again," the note continues. "She made me laugh and kept me on my toes. She was the best sister and friend in the world and I will miss her until we are together again."
