Fabolous's Christmas release The Young OG Project didn't exactly set the world on fire. But it also wasn't a lump of coal.

According to Hits Daily Double, the sixth album from the veteran emcee will move about 72,000 units in its first week. For comparison, that's a wee bit better than what T.I. and Logic's albums did in their debuts, but nowhere near the numbers J. Cole, Nicki and Shady were able to put up.

Speaking of Cole and Minaj, they both continue to sell albums. The Pinkprint did 104,000 in its second week, and 2014 Forest Hills Drive did 105,000 in its third.

As for the overall market, it's still Taylor Swift's world. 1989 was again the best selling album in the land, moving 328,000 copies in its ninth week for a total of 3.66 million. With the strong week, Swift's fifth album passes the Frozen soundtrack as the biggest seller of 2014.

Have you heard The Young OG Project? If so, did you like it?
