French Montana released his Wave Gods mixtape last week. It was full of guest features, like most of his projects, including Kanye West, Nas, Kodak Black, Quavo, and Future. While in NY, he made a trip to Billboard's offices discuss the new tape.
He tells Billboard that Wave Gods is a set up for the album, Mac & Cheese 4. The title and idea to have Max B host were in place before Kanye West had announced his album would be called Waves (later changed to The Life Of Pablo).
French also reveals that he and Future were going to do a mixtape before Drake and Future did What A Time To Be Alive. He goes on to address the likeliness of it happening: "Yeah, you never know. Me and Future -- we in the studio. You never know."
Getting back to his upcoming album, French Montana reveals that he'll have a song titled "Mercy" with Beanie Sigel, Styles P and Jadakiss. He also says he's collaborated with Miguel and A$AP Rocky.
