Gillie Da Kid Defends Drake, Explains Why He's Just Like Jay-Z & LeBron James

Gillie Da Kid once said that Drake won his battle against Kendrick Lamar. But he feels differently these days, based on what he said during an interview on Club Shay Shay.

While speaking to Shannon Sharpe, Gillie said yes Drake lost, but he'll be just fine. Gillie then compared Drizzy to LeBron James, who lost an NBA championship, and Jay-Z, who lost a battle to Nas in the early aughts. [Head to the 2:16:20 mark]

"At the end of the day, the whole industry came at Drake at one time,"said Gillie. "It's only a rap battle. That's all it is. Jay-Z lost to Nas. You think he a bigger artist than Drake? So, why does it matter? You lost a rap battle. That's like LeBron James losing a NBA finals. He'll be cool next year. He'll be back. Even with him [Kendrick Lamar] winning five Grammys, his streams still don't match Drake's streams."

Gillie followed that up by saying the whole beef between Drake and people like Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, and Metro Boomin has to be over a woman.

"Let's be for real, it has to be about some bitches," Gillie claimed. "Had to be about some bitches. Come on, man, you know Drake slaying them and spraying them. Putting them all on the planes ... What else we got to beef about, other than some hoes. Most beefs in America were started over a woman."
