Gucci Mane recently sat down with author Malcolm Gladwell and discussed a bunch of topics including the popularity of Trap Music. Gucci said that his interest in making trap music stems from his love of gangsta rap as a kid. He added that most people who make it don't live the life they're talking about, which is different from the rappers he grew up with who did.
"Trap rap is kind of gangsta rap, but most people who do trap ain't gangstas," said Gucci. But he also said that it's good that kids can make street music without living a street life, and he used his son to illustrate his point.
"I got a little son. I would love for him to make trap music, but I wouldn't want him to live that gangsta life," said Gucci. What do you think about Gucci's comments? You can peep his interview below.
