J. Prince rushed to the set of the "Hypnotize" video that The Notorious B.I.G. and Puff Daddy were shooting in Los Angeles in February 1997 and warned the New Yorkers that they needed to get out of town. However, they didn't listen.

On March 9, 1997, Biggie was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting outside of L.A.'s Petersen Automotive Museum.

According to TMZ, Prince heard talk on the LA streets about a killing to avenge the death of 2Pac when he was in Cali with his Rap-A-Lot artist Scarface. When Prince arrived at the "Hypnotize" video shoot to warn Big and Puff he was disturbed by how lax security was on set.  He told them they needed to take the threats seriously.  But they were too focused on making the video to process what Prince was trying to tell them and the rest is history.

There will be more about the incident in Prince's upcoming book, "The Art and Science of Respect", which drops next month.
