Jack Harlow appears in the remake of White Men Can’t Jump, which will be released on Hulu Friday, May 19.
While sitting down for a Q&A in New York, the rapper said that he feels more liberated in the acting world than he does in Hip Hop.
“I tell the truth on the mic, but maybe sometimes I feel some slight constraints in Hip Hop because there’s a tradition to it, and I know I’m a guest in the genre,” he said, according to People. “There’s things that go through your head from time to time. But with acting I feel liberated to some degree — I feel like I could show up and I could be whoever I want to be today. I don’t know, I feel freedom.”
In related news, Harlow released his album Jackman last month, which has gotten a lot of online praise, so he responded to it on Twitter.
2 weeks have passed and I just wanna say the love & respect I’ve felt from not only my peers… but from YALL…the fans…the folks that have supported me from the beginning…it feels fuckin amazing… I have never felt so connected to the people listening to my music…thank you
