Drake's been rattled by some pretty big haymakers from Pusha T.
JAY-Z may have taken a more subtle and subliminal approach in coming for Drizzy on his new track with Beyonce "Boss".
No cap, false, nigga, you not a boss, you got a boss
Niggas getting jerked, that shit hurts, I take it personally
Niggas rather work for the man than to work with me
Just so they can pretend they on my level, that shit is irkin' to me
Pride always goeth before the fall, almost certainly
It's disturbing what I gross (what I gross!)
Survey says you not even close (not even close)
Everybody's bosses 'til it's time to pay for the office
To them invoices, separate the men from the boys, over here
We measure success by how many people successful next to you
Here we say you broke if everybody gets broke except for you," Hov raps in his verse.
It could be that JAY is mocking Drake for having a boss.
That "boss" could be Lil Wayne/CMYM or Apple, which Drake signed a big contract with instead of joining Hov at Tidal, where he would be a part "owner."
Later in the verse, JAY may be comparing his net worth to Drake's. And the last two lines could refer to the lack of success Drake's OVO artists have had.
Is Hov talking about Drake here? You could probably also spin it in a way that would make it sound like he's rapping about Kanye.
