Jay Z's New Streaming Service Has Taylor Swift's Albums

Taylor Swift pulled all of her albums off of Spotify late last year, and also publicly denounced the streaming service, saying it doesn't properly compensate artists.

But Swift, whose album sales have made her arguably the most powerful artist in the music industry, doesn't seem to have that same problem with Jay Z's new streaming service site TIDAL. As of today, you can stream all of Swift's albums, besides her most current 1989, on it.

Jay Z received Tidal as part of his $56.2 million purchase of Swedish streaming company Aspiro, which has a bunch of different services in different countries.

His bid took a while to clear Asprio's board. But it finally did earlier this month, and yesterday two of the streaming sites Hov purchased -- Tidal and WiMP -- were relaunched as just TIDAL.

TIDAL features over 25 million tracks, and streams at a bit rate four times higher than comparative services.

It also costs more; $19.99 a month, whereas Spotify is $9.99.
