Tony Buzbee’s sexual assault lawsuit against JAY-Z could be thrown out of court soon.

This is according to legal journalist Meghann M. Cuniff, who reported the news on X.

Yesterday, January 2, Judge Analisa Torres of the Southern District of New York approved the request from JAY's lawyer Alex Spiro to dismiss the case.

Her decision came a few days after Spiro made the point that the woman accusing JAY and Diddy of raping her can’t make the accusation under New York City’s Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, since the law was enacted after she said the assault took place.

The woman said the alleged assault happened at an afterparty for the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2000 when she was 13 years old. But the Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act was enacted in December of 2000.

Spiro now has until February 6 to file a motion for dismissal, and Buzbee has until February 28 to file an objection.

How do you think this case will play out?
