Jim Jones stopped by Sole Collectors show Full Size Run and made a claim that will bring pain to Wale's sensitive heart.
"Nike Boots with the air bubble in the bottom, they started in Harlem," Jones asserted.
And what about Wale, who's 2007 track "Nike Boots" helped put him on the map?
"Wale might have came to Harlem and got a pair of them joints," said Jim. "They started on 145th Street and Broadway. You can ask my man Luca Brasi when they first came in the store. This might have been '01."
When the hosts wondered if he's ever told Wale what he told them, Jones said he didn't need to.
"Wale don't wanna have no sneaker conversation with me... Wale gets fly, but a lot of them sneakers he be wearing be boo-boo too. I don't like them joints. A lot of rappers be wearing boo-boo sneakers."
Jones also clarified that while Nike Boots were the rage for a while, New York has long since moved backed to Tims for their boot needs.
