Joe Budden Calls BS on Jussie Smollett's story

The latest twist in gay Empire actor Jussie Smollett's alleged hate crime attack is that Smollett didn't even want the Chicago police called when he wandered into his apartment complex in the early morning beat up and with a noose around his neck. Instead, it was a neighbor who called the cops.

Despite a preponderance of cameras, we still don't have any footage of two MEGA hat wearers attacking Smollett with their fists and bleach as he returned on a very late night run for a Subway sandwich in sub-freezing weather.

On his show State of Culture, Joe Budden said he didn't believe Jussie's story.

"Jussie's story sounds really funny. It's changed a few times. They saw him, they put a noose on his neck. I'm going to always have questions when a black man says he has a noose around a neck and says he left it there for 45 minutes  That sounds funny."

Joe also questioned the racist, homophobic note sent to Empire shortly before the attack.

"That Empire note. The note that allegedly confirmed everything because sent to Fox Chicago offices. That looked like some BS from Austin Powers. That looked a little funny. Everything looks a little funny."

I'm not saying he wasn't attacked. He was certainly attacked," Joe continued. "This is record industry 101 BS. Don't play with the fears of oppressed people. This is what it sounds like to me."

Joe then speculated that Jussie got beat up because of a paid romantic encounter gone wrong. The panel pushed back on that, but Joe wouldn't back off.

"I don't think what they say what happened, happened," Joe said, when asked to explain his theory. "Famous rich people, when bad things happen and they want to cover the story because famous people to f*** s*** sometimes like humans. You cover the story to protect your image, your likeness and your career. I don't know if we feel the same way about a regular crime."
