It's not just the old heads who are unhappy with what's going on in rap these days.
Joey Bada$$ is only 23. Yet he thinks rap is in a "trash state" and has singled out a particular sub-genre for why it's that way.
Rap is in a very trash state rn with very few exceptions that don’t even get the love and attention that they deserve.

Music is the most influential force in the world. Pay attention to what’s being over saturated. It says something about the generation. Sound is vibration.

Joey's 2017 album All-Amerikkan Badass posted mediocre numbers despite very strong reviews.
So perhaps that's coloring his view of the game.
On the other hand, he was likely paid handsomely as a ghostwriter on the Post Malone smash hit "Rock Star", which fits in the trap genre he seems to be railing against.
Joey's motivation aside, do you agree with his Tweets?
