Bishop David Paul Moten is suing Kanye West, UMG Recordings, Def Jam Recordings, and G.O.O.D Music because Ye sampled one of his sermons on the Donda track "Come to Life".
Moten counts that his sermon takes up 70 seconds of the 5-minute ten-second cut. Yet, the Texas pastor claims Ye didn't ask him permission to use the sermon nor was he paid for his contribution.
According to the suit, the named parties "willfully and egregiously sampling sound recordings of others without consent or permission."
No word from Kanye's camp on the suit.
