Kanye West calls Pete Davidson -- who's banging his ex-wife Kim Kardashian--"Skete."

West, a 44-year old man, is quite proud of the nickname.

So proud that when Davidson left Instagram after a brief return to the platform, Ye left a message for Davidson's mom.

"Ran Skete off the gram  Tell your mother I changed your name for life," Kanye taunted.

Davidson, 28, in very close to his mom and lived with her until recently.  His father was a firefighter who died during 9/11.
