Kanye West Made Big Sean Fire His Friend On The Spot For Breaking Studio Rule

Big Sean spoke on his former friend and label Kanye West during his trip to Drink Champs.

Sean still has warm feelings for Ye, despite their falling out.

During the chat, he recounted a time that Kanye forced Sean Don to fire his homie who broke a studio rule during the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy session in Hawaii. 

According to Sean, his friend snapped a photo of Sean, Kanye, JAY-Z and Beyonce in the studio and it ended up getting on the blogs.

“So anyway, I’m in a studio — it was me, Ye and Hov. Even then, I wasn’t like trying to be thirsty or sneak a f*cking picture. I’m here just taking it in mentally ... He ends up taking a picture of all of us in the studio.  He's not in.  He just takes a sneak picture. Didn’t tell me. He ends up tweeting it and it gets picked up on AllHipHop and things like that.”

This was 2010 before Sean was known, so it looked like Sean planted the photo to get clout.

When Kanye found out about what happened, he told Sean to fire his friend on the spot, and Sean had to agree.

“So I told my friend, ‘I’m in a position where it’s Ye and Hov saying you gotta go. I’m sorry bro, we gotta figure out something else,'" Sean said. “But it ended up being a blessing in disguise,” he said. “He ended up transforming his life and being probably way more successful than he would’ve been in the position he was in. He ended up being a teacher and ended up impacting a lot of people’s lives and doing amazing, wonderful things.”
